baby carlos!

I recently posted about meeting this guy in the hospital. I had the pleasure of seeing him again when he was 8 days old. This guys is such a trooper – he has the calmest demeanor and stayed in a deep sleep the entire time I spent with him! His name was kept a secret until after he was born, so he was affectionately referred to as Carlos before then (hence the blog title) . What an honor it was to capture these precious moments for the Rice family! He’s a little dream!

new baby!

Isn’t it one of the sweetest things to go visit new parents in the hospital after they’ve had their baby? Some of our best friends had a baby over the weekend. His newborn shoot will be in a few days, but I couldn’t help to take a few shots while I was visiting them in the hospital and I have to share a few favorites. Welcome to the world, Henry Gibson! And congratulations to Molly and Eric – you two are fabulous parents already! 🙂 I am so ridiculously excited for you to embark on this new part of your lives!

easter sunday

I love Easter Sunday. I love that this was my son’s first year to grasp so many new things about Easter – the egg hunts, the egg crafts, and even already making connections with empty Easter eggs to the empty tomb that Jesus rose from (all on his own!). I am in awe of him. This was also my daughter’s first Easter and it is so fun to pick out an Easter dress, oh my word!

This year we celebrated with both sides of our families together up at a church in my husband’s hometown. My sweet girl was’t feeling the best and I realized I didn’t get a single picture of her alone but then I remembered that’s because she needed lots of cuddles and had lots of family around willing to do that for her. And my son? Well, he was being a typical almost three year old and refusing to hold still for any photos.Ah, well, you get what you get – amiright?

This is just a glimpse of our Easter, I still have more photos to go through but wanted to share these favorites! I hope you all had such a wonderful Easter as well and are able to enjoy this Spring-y weather (finally!).

(thanks Mom for this photo!)

Sue @ Busy Moms Connect - What a beautiful family you have! Enjoy the Easter dresses now because they grow up so fast and no longer want to wear pretty dresses – I miss that!

admin - Thank you so much!! That makes me sad to hear but I know it’s true!

growing up

We had a random beautiful day here recently and we decided to get out of the house. Anyone else suffering from cabin fever? Oh me, all I can say is, COME ON SPRING. Anyway, we went out for lunch and my big girl sat in a highchair at a restaurant for the very first time. Sigh. So it begins.

Kim Hawkins - Your gift of photography will keep you present and give you a lifetime of memories. Keep capturing the present with your gift and you’ll be able to look back and “see” those moments again.
